Part 2 Crossroads

I’M CAUGHT IN A TRAP”

Exodus 14:1-2, 9-22, 26-31

When you find yourself in a situation you cannot change, how are you handling it? Will you keep trying to solve the situation on your own, or will you allow God to take control and handle things His way?  God brought Israel to a dead end where they felt trapped. They weren’t able to understand God plan. To the North of them were the Egyptians, to the South the hot dessert, the West was where they had come from, and to the East was the Red Sea. They were caught in a trap with no possible way out. Pharaoh was hot on their trail.
Is there a Pharaoh from your past chasing you? Every time you think you have escaped your Pharaoh, here it comes again, that ex boyfriend, ex girlfriend, or perhaps the desire to taste that liquor one more time.

Highlights from Pastor’s Points:
*None of us can time our traps—it will catch you off guard. Who are you blaming for your trap?
*Know when to get out of God’s way—we talk ourselves out of blessings. Who are you killing or taking out because you will not allow God to work.  Are you a “serial tongue killer”?  Some people are keen to do things on their own they don’t give God a chance to work.  Waiting is not wasted time. Let God be God!!!
Ex. 14:14 The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.
*Never think that your trap is just about you—God is saying I know you have two strikes but if you get in my lane I will knock it out of the park.
*Nothing is too great for our God – Remember your Red Sea... God can do anything.  God can do all things. God works the night shift. He doesn’t slumber nor sleep.(Psalm 121:4)
What side of the cloud are you on? God wants us on the side where He can take care of us. So many church folks are on the wrong side of the cloud. The good news is when we have the opportunity to experience God for ourselves and see what only God can do, we are in awe of His greatness. What a mighty God we serve!!!
