On last Sunday evening, a group of excited couples grabbed a hotdog, a bag of salty popcorn, a chlled soft drink and kicked back to watch an imitation of marital life movie called - FIREPROOF!
The central message of FIREPROOF was that all marriages go through fiery times, but they do not have to burn up. Through Jesus Christ all things are possible.
I left the movie reminded of the counsel of John, Caleb's father, about watching out for "relational parasites". Those things which attach themselves to our hearts and suck all of the life out of ability to improve our relationships. Things such as excessive hours at the job, pornography, ungodly counselors, family interference, etc. etc.
