“Hang on to your Head”
Ephesians 6:17a
Everyday there are evil forces, folks, and philosophies that are seeking to bivouac in your brain. Romans 8:6 said it best, the mind set on flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
The Apostle knew that the ground zero for spiritual warfare was not on a smoke filled physical battle field, but within our smoke filled spiritual minds. What steps are you taking to tame your thought life? The Spirit of God wants us to know that when we wear our helmet of salvation we are able to take all thoughts captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Thoughts of fear and the flesh no longer have to dominate our memory banks and cause us to function like puppets on a string for the dominion of darkness.
Take the words of Romans 12:2 to heart today; renew your mind. Dump the mental seeds of darkness and begin to plant the seeds of light so that when the devil comes knocking at the door of your mind you can put out the No Occupancy Sign. May your mind always be filled with Truth, honor, righteousness, purity, love, good repute, excellence and all things worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8)
